Snowy Cedar Center for Wellness' primary means of helping clients create and strengthen a sense of belonging is through yoga therapy offered via private and small group sessions. These sessions aim to help clients manage specific clinical conditions like chronic pain, trauma, or joint injuries through targeted movement, breathwork, and reflective practices. Sessions include an educational component based in the wisdom of traditional yoga philosophies.
On a weekly basis, Danielle offers yoga classes at Fresh Coast Yoga in Houghton, Michigan. She is trained in a variety of styles including soma yoga, restorative yoga, hatha, slow flow, chair yoga, yin yoga, Yoga Nidra and Kundalini. Specialty yoga therapy group sessions or yoga workshops, focusing on a theme or yogic philosophy, will be offered throughout the year at Fresh Coast Yoga, so be sure to follow on social media for the latest yoga offerings.
Snowy Cedar Center for Wellness also offers Thai yoga bodywork, sound baths, guided meditations, chakra readings, and even opportunities to join us for hiking in the Upper Peninsula! Our connections to others and nature create the foundation that allows us to feel a deeper sense of belonging. A Community of Wellness is an essential part of our belonging, and each of these offerings may be enjoyed in a group setting or in a private one-on-one session depending on your needs.
I am currently pursuing ongoing training in Thai yoga bodywork to expand my offerings for those electing a more energetic hands-on supportive healing modality that is designed to move energy and lymph while releasing fascia adhesions and assisting with stretching.
Finally, I offer sound baths in group settings via the lens of Nada Yoga, which is based on vibrations and sacred sounds. This is not sound healing for individuals, though individuals may find it helpful. Please contact me for further details as rates will vary based on distance, duration, and size of group, and be sure to join me for special sound and yoga workshops at Fresh Coast Yoga, which are typically offered on solstices and equinoxes.

All private yoga therapy sessions and Thai yoga bodywork sessions will be held at one of the following locations per client preference:

PRICING FOR YOGA THERAPY AND THAI YOGA BODYWORK

$125 for an initial 90-minute intake yoga therapy session

$90 for follow-up 60-minute yoga therapy sessions

For new clients only, a 3-session yoga therapy package is available for $250! This package includes an initial 90-minute session and two follow-up 60-minute sessions. Payment in full is due at time of booking of first session, and the remaining 2 sessions must be used within 2 months from date of first session.

For existing clients only, a 3-session 60-minute yoga therapy package is available for $222. Payment in full is due at time of booking of first session, and the remaining 2 sessions must be used within 2 months from date of first session.

Thai Yoga Bodywork sessions are currently discounted $25 per session to a rate of $100 for a 90-minute session since Danielle has completed Level 1 training in Thai Yoga Bodywork and is currently completing Level 2 training with Muggymoose in Duluth, Minnesota and Thai Yoga Bodywork and Devandi Yoga of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Please note that only 90-minute in-person sessions are available for Thai Yoga Bodywork.
Rates for other well-being services such as group yoga therapy, yoga classes, breathwork facilitation, sound baths, guided meditations, Reiki, and chakra readings are based upon duration, location, group size, and your specific requests. Please email or call Danielle to discuss your desired well-being services. Snowy Cedar Center for Wellness is always happy to work with you to create a custom well-being package for you or for community-based events. We welcome and support community-based efforts to improved wellness through grant opportunities that can support the healing practices of yoga therapy and create a true sense of belonging.
Payments are accepted via PayPal at time of booking. Clients may also choose to pay via Venmo, check, or cash at time of appointment. Please call Danielle to book if paying by Venmo, cash, or check. Please reach out to discuss payment plans or payments on a sliding scale if cost is the only factor limiting you from practicing yoga therapy with Snowy Cedar Center for Wellness.
LEGAL NOTICES
Privacy Notice
No information about any client will be discussed or shared with any third party without written consent of the client and/or parent/guardian as applicable under state law the client is under 18. In some situations, parent/guardian access to client records is limited per state law, and Snowy Cedar Center for Wellness will ensure confidentiality in these situations to comply with state law.
Waiver and Release
I hereby agree to the following:
1. I am participating in classes or services during which I will receive information and instruction about yoga, yoga therapy, Thai yoga bodywork, Ayurveda, Reiki, sound meditation, and hiking. I recognize these modalities require physical and/or mental exertion, which may be strenuous and may cause physical and/or mental injury, and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved.
2. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding my participation in any physical and/or mental activities, including yoga, yoga therapy, Reiki, sound meditation, and hiking. I represent and warrant that I have no medical condition that would prevent my participation in these physical and/or mental activities.
3. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the the physical and mental activities listed above, I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known and unknown, which I might incur as a result of participation.
4. In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the physical and mental activities listed above, I knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly waive any claim I may have against the instructor, the owner, or the leaseholder of the building for injuries or damages that I may sustain as a result of participating in classes, workshops, or yoga therapy sessions that may be held at any physical location or offered online by video, television, podcast, apps, or other digital media platforms.
5. I have read the above release and waiver of liability and fully understand its contents. I voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions stated above.
Client Information Document
Prior to receiving yoga therapy services, I agree that I have received, read, and understand the Snowy Cedar Center for Wellness Client Information Document, which explains the scope of yoga therapy services offered by Snowy Cedar Center for Wellness. I understand that yoga therapy is not a licensed healthcare profession in the State of Michigan. I also understand that Thai yoga bodywork is a modality exempt from licensure as a massage therapist in the State of Michigan and that Danielle Foertsch Newman is not licensed as a massage therapist.
